Our scholarships are awarded on the basis of both merit and need, helping deserving students access top universities in fields like medicine, engineering, and computer science. Arif Saleem Khan

President Chair

Our esteemed board member, Mr. Khan, is an accomplished entrepreneur with exceptional business acumen. He currently serves as the Director of Burger Legend, Canada and holds the position of President Chair of Orange Tree Foundation Canada.

Marzia Khambaty

Secretary

An Economics graduate from Lahore University of Management Sciences and an accomplished professional, she currently serves as a Marketing Analyst for a leading Canadian retail bank. Her strategic insights contribute significantly to the enhancement of our board’s dynamics.

Zohair Zakaria

Treasurer

A Babson College business graduate and proprietor of an investment enterprise. His entrepreneurial prowess and distinct perspective enrich our board.

Samira Dadabhoy

Director

BA in Sociology (University of Toronto), with diplomas in Montessori and Islamic Education. 8 years’ experience teaching O-Level Islamiyat in Karachi, with some elementary teaching as well.

Bemisal Iqbal

Director

Bemisal Iqbal is an education professional and nonprofit leader based in Canada, with over a decade of experience across Pakistan, the Middle East, and Canada. She holds a Master’s degree in Global Diplomacy from SOAS, University of London, and has worked in the education sector since 2011. Bemisal is a founding member and Board Director of Orange Tree Foundation Canada (OTFC), supporting access to higher education through merit- and need-based scholarships in Pakistan. She is also a homeschooling mother of three, bringing a values-driven, global perspective to her work in education and community leadership.

Naveed Mukaty

Head of Strategy & Outreach (Volunteer)

Raised with values of compassion and empathy, Naveed actively dedicates his time towards worthy causes, ranging from animal rescue to blood drives. With degrees in marketing and law, as well as an entrepreneurial background, he hopes to add value to OTF Canada.

Mahvish Tabani Baqai

External Relations Officer (Volunteer)

Mahvish has been involved with OTF since the program’s inception in 2011. She is passionate about education and dedicated to giving back to the community. She holds a master’s degree in Economics from McGill University and a bachelor’s in Mathematics from University College London. She is an experienced sustainability professional and currently works as a Sustainability Manager for a Boutique Consulting firm in Toronto.
